Davie, FL · Performance Coach
Emanuel Reyes
A performance coach with a physical education degree and a multi-sport background, focused on sports nutrition and injury prevention. He does not treat injuries.
Four sports, and what each one asks for.
Emanuel Reyes is a performance coach at Alkemē Sports Rx. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Florida International University. He is not a physical therapist, and anything that needs a clinical evaluation goes to one of the clinic’s Doctors of Physical Therapy.
He grew up playing basketball, soccer, football and baseball. That is a useful background in a coach, because it means he has had to meet four different sets of demands from the inside rather than reading about them. A basketball player and a baseball player do not need the same hips, and a coach who has only played one game tends to write one program.
He has worked with athletes from the NFL, MLB and the UFC. His focus is sports nutrition and injury prevention, which are the two parts of training that show up last on most people’s list and matter longest. Prevention work is unglamorous by design. It is a small handful of positions, loaded properly, repeated for months, so the tissue that usually fails has already been asked to do the job before the game asks it under pressure.
Training here sits alongside rehab rather than replacing it. When something needs a clinical answer, there is a Doctor of Physical Therapy on the same floor, and the training is rewritten around their plan rather than paused indefinitely.

What Emanuel works on.
Sport Specificity ⟶
Four sports played, so the demands of each one are read from the inside rather than from a template.
02Agility Training ⟶
Court and field sports ask for the same skill in different shapes. This is where that gets trained.
03Balance & Coordination ⟶
The quiet base under change of direction, and the first thing to go when an athlete is under-recovered.
04Recovery ⟶
Nutrition and recovery are the same conversation once training volume goes up.
Book a session and we will start with what your sport asks for.
Put it in writing.
Five short questions. A real person calls you back, usually within two business hours, with times that fit your week.
The people who end up filling this out are rarely in the worst pain of their life. They’re just done working around it, done picking the errand that doesn’t require the stairs. If that’s the stage you’re at, this is the part where you stop researching and start.
Consider it filed.

Physical therapy and performance training keep separate phone lines inside the Davie building. Miami is the second address, in the middle of the city.
